Living from the land

Blogging has been slow at the moment due to the amount of time being spent out in the field! However there have been some pretty special courses we've been running here at Backcountry and there seems to be a increase in people wanting to live off the land. Be it foraging, native fishing techniques or trapping - we've shown that its not always the most comfortable experience given the recent weather, but massively worthwhile.

Theres plenty of food about now that we're well into spring, from good old wood/sheep sorrel, dandelion, dock leaves, nettles, fungi, lichens as well as plenty of brown trout and wascely wabbits to catch!

If you want to learn more or even head into the hills for a multi-day foraging and trapping course then give us a shout. See you out there!
